R. Geoffrey Motz, MD
Dr. R. Geoffrey “Geoff” Motz is board-certified in Internal Medicine and Nephrology. Dr. Motz grew up in Cincinnati and attended Saint Xavier High School. He attended college and medical school at Saint Louis University (SLU) in St Louis, Missouri, where he graduated with his Doctor of Medicine (MD) with a Distinction in Community Service. While at SLU, Dr. Motz was a leader within SLU’s Physicians for Human Rights chapter and was honored with the Emerging Leaders Award and Co-Best Chapter Award. He was also inducted into the Alpha Sigma Nu Honor Society.
Dr. Motz was fortunate to return home to Cincinnati for his Internal Medicine Residency and Nephrology Fellowship at the University of Cincinnati. While at UC, he was the Nephrology fellowship representative to the Resident Advisory Committee and was given the Outstanding Fellow Award.
Dr. Motz is passionate about serving his community and collaborating with the healthcare team to provide personalized, high-quality medical care. He is particularly interested in chronic kidney disease, resistant hypertension, kidney stone prevention, glomerular diseases, and acute kidney injury. In his free time, Dr. Motz enjoys playing golf, traveling, hiking, and scuba diving.
