The Kidney and Hypertension Center (KHC) is proud to have participated in the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Kidney Walk this past weekend on Sunday, May 15th, 2022. This year our team joined many others throughout the country to fight kidney disease.
We are thrilled to report that KHC raised $12,500 for the National Kidney Foundation through our team’s efforts. The NKF is a leading organization in the fight against kidney disease.
The National Kidney Foundation provides support and resources for those affected by kidney disease. They also help:
- Ensure families receive information and education about kidney disease
- Fight for policy changes to protect kidney patients and donors
- Drive innovation in transplantation to shorten the kidney transplant waitlist
Our fundraising efforts are devoted to our patients, community members, and friends who are coping with this chronic disease and to those who have lost their battle too soon. We are proud to have participated in this year’s Kidney Walk and look forward to walking again next year.
Making a Difference One Step at a Time
We are so proud to have supported such a worthy cause, and we look forward to continuing our work with the National Kidney Foundation in the future. Thank you to everyone who donated to our team and helped us reach our goal! Together, we can make a difference in the fight against kidney disease.
The National Kidney Foundation is dedicated to the awareness, prevention, and treatment of kidney disease. More than 37 million people suffer from chronic kidney disease, and nearly 100,000 people are on the waiting list for a kidney transplant.
The Kidney and Hypertension Center and the National Kidney Foundation are working towards lowering these numbers through awareness, education, and policy change.
